IN&OUT of the BOX is a project of the Communication Institute of Nova University of Lisbon (ICNOVA, UNL), funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), taking place in 2025-2026 with the collaboration of the Institute of Social Sciences of UNL (CICS.NOVA), the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (FBAUL) and the Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Saar (HBK Saar). The IN&OUT of the BOX project proposes to address the changing ecosystem of the creative sector under the impact of emergent technologies. It focuses on the powerful intersection between creativity, intelligence, and technology through hands-on explorations of the AI “black box” and an “out of the box” approach that mixes scientific, critical, and artistic investigation. The IN&OUT of the BOX is aligned with the European Creative Pact for Skills and aims to contribute to the development and resilience of the creative sector.
